Darren McCabe, Vice President

Darren has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, project management, accounting/finance, and millwork. He graduated from BYU with a degree in Business Administration. Darren started in the construction industry around 25 years ago owning his own stone masonry. Darren joined the Masterpiece team in May of 2015.
Juan Tirado, Plant Manager

Juan has 20 Years of experience in the millwork industry. He received a Business Administration degree and is certified in Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering. Juan has been with Masterpiece since September 2020.
Shane Sorenson, Senior Estimator

Shane graduated in 1985 and shortly after went directly into the woodwork industry. He started out in the high production residential industry and within 5 years moved into the Architectural Millwork line which is much more challenging and gratifying. Shane has had approximately 5 years of Lean Manufacturing training, certification in the “Game of Work” as well as AWI Estimating and Advanced Estimating seminars. He enjoys and is privileged to be part of the MCM Family which he plans to retire from many years down the road.
Brian Stanley, Engineering Manager

Brian has over 25 years of experience in Architectural Mill-Work both Commercial and High end Residential. Brian started his woodwork career in the shop in assembly. After a few short years he was moved to operate the CNC router in the mill. While in the mill Brian learned to operate all the different operations from rough sawn lumber into finished molding and finished panel product.
Brian’s Engineering Career began when an opening in the Engineering department needed to be filled and someone with cabinet, mill and CNC experience was needed. Although at the time he hadn’t used any CAD programs he quickly learned this new skill. As he became very proficient at programing his duties were expanded into drafting and cut-billing as well we material take-off.
For the last 20 years Brian has been working in the Engineering departments at several highly sought after Architectural Millwork Companies and decided to join the MCM family in 2017 to lead the growing engineering team at Masterpiece Commercial.
Brian has experience from ground up millwork to bringing Architects and Interior Designers designs to reality. Brian has worked on projects that include, carvings, veneer inlays, custom veneer paneling, sequencing and anything in between. Brian has worked on projects all over the United States and Internationally from Rome, Italy to San Salvador, El Salvador. Brian Leads out our Engineering team to bring any idea into reality and ensure that you get the right product with quality and craftsmanship.
Darren Cooper, Senior Project Manager

Darren has been with Masterpiece since January 2020, however he has been in the woodworking industry for 30 years. 25 years of that was a being a business owner for an installation company and millwork company. Darren has a Business Management degree from Utah Valley University, is AWI certified, and a certified master carpenter.
Bart Grant, Project Manager

Bart has been in the millwork industry since 1979, and has been involved in all of the different aspects of it. He graduated from “Bodidley Tech”…., and worked through all of the steps out in the shop as well as in the office. Working with many different materials and processes including but not limited to building/assembly, finishing, delivering, installing, purchasing, drawing (back when it was by hand), estimating and managing production, office, and projects. Bart has learned to enjoyed and see the importance of each step that creates a beautiful and well-crafted project. These years of experience have given great satisfaction and appreciation of taking someone’s idea and vision, all the way through to a successful completion and beautiful products.
Francis Lopez, Project Manager
Francis joined Masterpiece in August 2018 as an Assistant Project Manager and moved up to Project Manager within the first 6 months demonstrating leadership abilities and client communication skills while increasing project profit margin considerably. Before joining Masterpiece, she was a Project Manager and dealt with bidding, contracts, and construction control department. Francis attended the Instituto de Tecnologico de Tijuana in Architecture. She has also received the 2017 Architectural Woodwork Standards Certification and AWI Project Management Seminar.
Jeremy Mendenhall, Project Manager

Jeremy Mendenhall has a mechanical engineering education history with over 14 years of Program and Project Management experience. Jeremy spent 5 years as an Aerospace Composite Program Manager, 3 years as a Specialized Architectural Woodworking Project Manager, and 6 years as a Store Fixutre Project Manager. Jeremy’s PM portfolio includes the successful completion of projects, from concept to production completion, as well as research and development for composites, fixtures, and custom woodworking of high-end private homes, universities, law offices, and commercial buildings. With these experiences, Jeremy has successfully managed programs and projects reaching profits of more than $20 million.
Jeremy enjoys building relationships of trust and reliability with his clients, contractors, and trade partners. Loyalty and dedication are important values to him. This contributes to his unique focus on personal and professional details and drives him to complete projects and tasks with tenacity.
Gustavo Góngora, Assistant Project Manager

Passionate about Millwork finishes, he joins the Masterpiece’s Project Management team in 2019, where he currently works with the goal of providing and delivering excellence.
Prior to his current position, Gustavo was based in Brazil from 2012 to 2019 managing several construction projects, including the Walmart Supermarkets, OBA Hortifruti Markets, and luxury stores of the worldwide Duty-Free Dufry network at several key international airports in Brazil. From 2006 through 2012, Gustavo served as a construction manager in Stamford, CT. USA. During 2004 and 2006 he worked as an architect in Mexico City.
Gustavo holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Universidad Mayor de San Andres in Bolivia and a master’s degree in Architecture from The National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Randy Rafiner, Site Manager

Randy Rafiner has been in the woodworking business for over 35 years. He has worked for various millwork firms throughout the Wasatch Valley in various departments of the woodworking business. He owned and operated an installation company for 17 years. He has been with Masterpiece Commercial Millwork since 2015.
